RICARDO LAUNCH EVENT

INTRODUCTION

Ricardo plc is a UK company providing engineering, environmental and strategic consultancy services.  In Greece, Ricardo strengthened its presence in 2023 by acquiring a majority stake in E3-Modelling SA, a company that provides analytical services based on mathematical models for policy analysis in the energy, economic and environmental sectors. Ricardo offers the subscription service “Electricity Market Outlook”, which provides medium and long-term forecasts for the electricity market in Greece. This service offers regular and interactive market reports, outlooks and expert analysis, helping subscribers to make informed strategic decisions.

CHALLENGE

Our challenge was to organize and support a corporate event, where the challenges in financing renewable energy and storage in the electricity markets were presented, as well as the presentation of the Forecast tool/product, with invited professionals and stakeholders from the energy sector.

ACTIONS

Through regular meetings with the client, we recorded the needs of the event. During the first stage we defined the goal and objectives of the event, prepared the budget by making cost estimates for the catering space, speakers, technological infrastructure, etc. We then proceeded to select a suitable date that did not coincide with other major events in the industry and the location of the event. Once the basic stages were settled, in cooperation with the client, we proceeded to the preparation of the program by defining the topics and planning the flow of the event (presentations, Q&A, networking sessions).

The last stage of preparation was the formulation of the media publicity plan and the promotion of the event. This stage required the design and sending of invitations as well as the use of promotional activities such as sending press releases.

Finally, on the day of the event, our main responsibility was the management of the event, with the reception and service of the participants, as well as dealing with possible problems in real time.

IMPACT

The event brought together leading energy industry executives, investors and media representatives, creating a dynamic platform for discussion on the future of the energy market.

As for the Electricity Market Outlook, as part of its comprehensive analysis of energy markets, it provides a complete data set derived from electricity market simulations, as it can identify challenges and opportunities in an ever-changing market.

Ricardo’s event provided an important platform for dialogue within the energy community, addressing key issues affecting energy markets and helping to shape a sustainable and resilient energy future. At the same time, it confirmed Ricardo’s ongoing commitment to developing tools and solutions that facilitate the transition to a sustainable energy model.
